The fascinating city Nuwara Eliya also bearer nick-names of the city on plains, city of light or vastly known as little England. Situated in the central part of Sri Lanka where 172 km away from the capital city of Colombo. He is the pioneer of making Gregory Lake which is in centre of the city. The main objective of lake Gregory is to manufacture hydro-power electricity. Even at present, visiting a Nuwara Eliya would not be perfect without a visiting experience of catchment of Lake Gregory, which may produce splendid scenes. One of the pressures gift from the Colonial British era to Sri Lanka is Tea production. As a large manufacture and export quality tea worldwide are being significantly contributing to the country’s economy and is one of the prominent sources of attracting foreign revenue to Sri Lanka. Nuwara Eliya district is the major place that grew the tea plants and vast range of tea plantations that were being run commercially.
